Sponne Cluster Football Champions!

It was a great afternoon of football in the autumn sunshine for NHPS today as pupils from Year 3, 4 and 6 headed to Sponne for their annual football event for the local primary schools.
With 2 teams from Year 6 taking part in a tournament, there was a high level of competition from all of the other schools. In the Red League, NHPS showed true Hawksmoor determination by battling hard, winning all their games with some cracking goals and eventually bringing home the winners trophy.
Blue League definitely brought our principles of quality, enthusiasm and partnership into their game with some close scoring matches. There were some amazing shots on goal, outstanding saves from our goalkeepers and excellent team play from all taking part. Cheered on from the sidelines by many ex-Hawksmoor students on their lunchbreak, they were proud to come in second place in their league.
Meanwhile the Year 3 and 4s had plenty of fun taking part in the football skills academy. They had a go at lots of different football style activities, played mini games and acquired new skills.
Our thanks go to the Sponne PE department and the excellent Sports Leaders who put on a fantastic afternoon for us.
