Mitch Johnson completes his hat-trick!

What a fantastically inspiring morning the children in Years 3-6 have had as they met the wonderful author, Mitch Johnson today.

Mitch spent some time with our Year 6s first thing, delivering some writing workshops to the children, exploring their own ideas and developing characters and plots for their very own stories. We then had an assembly for Key Stage 2 where Mitch shared some interesting insights into the process an author goes through before, during and after writing books.

We are very lucky to have had Mitch visit us on 3 occasions now. He completed his hat-trick by with his newest book, Toxic. A story about three friends who go on an adventure to the rainforest to protect and preserve it from an unpleasant and powerful adversary. Mitch’s books always have a strong conservational message within them and this continues with his new title.

Mitch finished off his visit signing personalised copies of pre-orders and cash purchases. The atmosphere was electric, and the children were thrilled to be in the presence of an award-winning author.

We hope those children enjoy their new books, and if you feel your child has missed out, all his books are available in the usual online retailers and high street bookshops.

I am already looking forward to his return, as there could be some exciting news on the horizon for Mitch!
