Dens, watercolours and a lot of baby frogs

A tiny baby frog sitting on a child's grey sleeve during Year 2 outdoor learning

Year 2 headed outside for a beautiful afternoon of outdoor learning, back in a space they hadn’t explored since Year 1.

They built dens, explored every corner and then got the watercolours out to paint what they could see. You might spot a bit of a frog theme in the paintings. That’s because the grass was full of baby frogs!

The children moved slowly and carefully so they could watch them jump about, fascinated and excited in equal measure. Their teachers loved seeing how kind the children were to each other and how well they worked together.
