Y5/6 Sports Day
This afternoon was the turn of our Y5&6 children to show us their sporting prowess across a number of disciplines including sprints, skipping, novelty relays, hurdles and tug o’ war.
Of course they did not disappoint and competed to a high level in all their events. It was so great to see all the house teams cheering each other on. There was a really positive spirit amongst them all and it was a fitting end to our sporting events.
We even managed to ‘rope’ in some willing volunteers from our parent community to participate in an impromptu skipping race or two at the end – a special well done to those who got stuck in. I think many surprised themselves with their skills!
Thank you to all who were able to come and support; it was a fantastic event and very much showcased what a wonderful group of children we have here!
Results (and barring our winners, it was a really close run thing!):
1st Williams – 200 points
2nd Lotus – 183 points
3rd Caterham – 182 points
4th McLaren – 181 points
These will get combined with the other results from sporting events along with all the other house point opportunities this term to decide the House trophy in assembly on the final day of term.
