Term 1 – Check!

What a first term we have had. A big thank you to all the children and families for your support this term. It has certainly been a busy one!

It only seems like yesterday that 420+ children began the new year with us. So much has happened over the past 7 weeks beyond the fantastic learning in the classroom you would expect in school: our annual trip to St Lawrence church for Harvest Festival; A visit from awesome poet Karl Nova; a Y3 prehistoric park morning; a visit from Samuel Pepys in Year 2; Sporting successes at football, boccia, Y2 multiskills, and most recently 137 children to Sponne for Tag Rugby!

In addition our Year 1s have been out and about around Towcester, our Year 6s have been to Bletchley Park for a day of fascinating learning about code breaking during WWII, our Year 5s on a adventurous residential to Aylmerton, Norfolk, and our Year 4s have just returned from a wet and wild few days in Everdon! And of course, we must not forget the delights of the wonderful Warrior Challenge thanks to our amazing FONHS team. It has certainly been an action packed start.

A special mention must go to our newest recruits in Reception though. I have never known a year group to settle so quickly into their groove. They have been a real credit to the school.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Tuesday 31st October at 8:30am 🎃
