Harvest Festival

This morning we were welcomed by Reverend Paula and her team to spend a morning together giving thanks for the harvest this year. Children from Year 2 – Year 6 braved the wet weather to make the journey into town to St Lawrence Church.
Although food is very much a theme of harvest time there is so much more to be thankful for, and it allowed us all to reflect on these things through lots of cheerful songs from each year group. We also experiences some creative poems on this theme from our Year 6s and all joined together to sing some traditional ‘classics’ from our childhoods.
A huge thank you to all the parents who joined us this morning – it seemed to be the busiest ever service, and the children were thrilled to see family and friends in the audience.
Reverend Paula reminded us all of the importance of giving and sharing a little more of what we have, so I ask you all to contribute if you can to the foodbank in the coming weeks. We have trolleys at the front of school to collect produce and will hopefully fill these up before half term.
A reminder of the Foodbank shopping list if you are able to donate:
