Our girls take on the Tag Rugby Festival at Bugbrooke

Year 4 and Year 6 girls headed over to Bugbrooke RFC this week for the Girls’ Tag Rugby Festival. For a lot of them it was their first ever game of tag rugby. You’d never have guessed.

They were quick on their feet, grabbed tags like old hands and kept their passes going backwards. Well, most of the time. And they cheered each other on from the first whistle to the last.

There was a rather special guest on the sidelines too. The Premiership trophy had come along, fresh from Northampton Saints’ win in the final this summer. A photo with it was never really in doubt.

What stood out most was how the girls looked after each other. Every dodged defender and every try got the whole team up and celebrating. A big thank you to NSport and Bugbrooke RFC for hosting such a brilliant festival.
