Christmas Carols at St Lawrence Church

The Christmas season officially began yesterday as pupils from Year 2 – Year 6 attended our annual carol concert held at St Lawrence Church. We were welcomed by Reverend Paula and it was wonderful to once again see the church full to bursting thanks to all the parents and families who attended.

There was a distinct theme this year thanks to the Narnia Experience that our Year 4 & 5 children had participated in, and Mr Tumnus was still present overseeing the events. We had lots of songs sung by different year groups (using it as an opportunity to get some practice in before their Christmas shows), along with nativity readings from our Year 6 pupils, traditional carols from the whole congregation. We were also treated to a few festive tunes from our recorder groups thanks to Mrs Rowe.

It truly was a great start to three Christmas-filled weeks here at Nicholas Hawksmoor.
