Water Safety Gold Award

We are proud to announce that NHPS has achieved the RLSS UK Water Smart Gold Award! This prestigious accreditation recognises our commitment to delivering high quality, sustained water safety education—teaching students essential skills like water awareness, safe entry and exit, floating, and even optional rescue techniques Awarded only to schools demonstrating exceptional dedication to embedding water safety in their curriculum, the Gold level is valid for two years, a testament to the hard work and dediction of Mrs Bond and the wider staff.

This success reflects the collaborative efforts of our pupils, staff and parents—leading whole school activities like our recent red/yellow mufti day, first aid lessons in class, and fostering a culture of water responsibility and of course our commitment to school swimming. By embedding these vital skills, we’re not just teaching swimming—we’re empowering lifelong confidence and safety around water.
