Sportsmark Platinum Award Retained!

Each year, our school applies for the School Games Mark, which is a nationally recognised value mark for PE and school sport. Over the last couple of years, this hasn’t happened due to the pandemic. However, we have always held the highest award since its inception over 10 years ago.

This year, with the reduced restrictions and a return to near-normality, we have picked up the baton once more with PE and sport and tried to get as many different children involved in school sport and competitions as possible. A big part of this is down to the hard work and dedication of all the teachers and support staff who deliver PE sessions and extra-curricular clubs to provide a wide range of physical activities for the children. Being part of The Hawksmoor Learning Trust has also meant that thanks to the commitment and organisation of Ms Keites, our Trust PE and Competition Leader, we have had a huge number of children representing the school over the year.

Because of all of this, we are delighted to share that we have retained the Platinum Award for this year’s School Games Mark. This is something we are extremely proud of and we hope to build on this success and ensure as many Hawksmoor children as possible are involved in PE and school sport in the future!
