Sir Isaac Newton

This morning my assembly continued the scientific theme with a brief overview of the pioneering British scientist, Sir Isaac Newton.

Many children all knew the legend of the apple tree discovery, but we also went on to discuss some of the other discoveries that he is credited for, including: Newton’s three laws of motion, his work on light, and him being the reason there are 7
‘official’ colours fo the rainbow.

We had a little fun with a football and a balloon to demonstrate some of this, but overall I was very impressed with the knowledge the chidlren brought to the assembly, and how they also remembered so much from our learning on Stephen Hawking.
