Reception Fire Engine Visit

A Visit from the Fire Engine!

This morning, we had an exciting visit from the fire engine! The children got the chance to see the fire engine up close, and even try spraying the hose! 🚒💦

Our friendly firefighter showed us all the important parts of their uniform and explained why each piece of kit is essential for staying safe while fighting fires. We also learned what number to call in an emergency — 999 — and who else you can call for help.

The children were full of great questions, like “Why is the fire engine red?” and “Why do firemen wear a uniform?” It was such a fun and informative experience for everyone!
