Nicholas Hawksmoor Achieves Artsmark Gold

Nicholas Hawksmoor Primary School has been awarded Artsmark Gold, the top level of the Arts Council’s creativity award for schools.

It recognises how much space the arts take up here. Art, music, dance and drama all feature, along with workshops, performances and whole-school projects that children have taken part in.

Ofsted put it simply when they visited: “The arts are the beating heart of the school.”

The school wants to thank its children, staff, families, FONHS, governors and the many artists and performers who helped make it happen. Artsmark Gold is a milestone, but the creative journey carries on.
