MG Leonard is coming to Towcester!
A VERY EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!
I am absolutely thrilled to announce (and personally very much looking forward to) a visit from acclaimed children’s author, M.G.Leonard!
Maya has written a number of fantastic novels for children: including the Beetle Boy series; The Twitchers Trilogy; and my personal favourite, the Adventure on Trains series – 6 books currently, but more to come…
She is a truly fantastic author and an inspiring speaker, who will be hosting a whole school assembly, taking lots of questions from children, before delivering a writing workshop with our Year 6s.
There will be an opportunity to get books signed, so if your child is an MG Leonard fan, then make sure they bring their copies in on the day, and if not, they will be by lunchtime! My advice is to get down the library quickly and get stuck into one of her books over the next few weeks.
These type of events are incredibly important in continuing to raise the profile of reading with our children. We are so lucky to have this event in our calendar and it has been a year in the making. It wouldn’t be going ahead without the support of our fantastic Friends of Nicholas Hawksmoor School, so a very big thank you to everyone who contributes to their fundraising activities.
