Generations Unite – Remembrance at NHPS

As a school, we are very proud of our Year 6 children today who were so respectful when finding out about people’s connections to the forces from our visitors. Many of whom had fascinating memories or told stories of a family member’s involvement in WW2.

After which, the whole school gathered together on the turning circle to pay our respects for those who have given so much protecting and defending freedoms around the world.

Our Year 6 pupils read some incredibly moving poems written by themselves and we listened to the ‘Last Post’ played beautifully on the bugle by a former pupil before participating in the most respectful 2 minutes silence I can remember here at Nicholas Hawksmoor!

We are all so very proud of the children for participating in a very special Remembrance service today.
