District Sportshall Athletics

Today a team from Year 4 had a very exciting afternoon of sport in Daventry when they took part in the District Sportshall Athletics competition. They competed in a variety of track and field events including relay races, hurdles, 5 stride jump, vertical jump, speed bounce and more. The children gave 100% and demonstrated fantastic team spirit, cheering on not only our team, but the other schools from The Hawksmoor Learning Trust. After taking first place in the final 2 relay races they all sat nervously to hear the final results. They were delighted to hear Nicholas Hawksmoor announced as overall winners of the 16 schools at the event this afternoon. Huge congratulations to the whole team!
