KS2 Experience Easter at St Lawrence Church

This week all our Key Stage Two children were invited to St Lawrence Church to participate in the Easter Experience as part of our RE curriculum.

This happens for children only once in KS2 in order for them to learn about the origin and meaning of Easter and its importance within the Christian faith.

The sessions were organised specifically to focus on gaining a deeper understanding of the various stages of the Easter story.

Each class spent an hour there working in small groups learning key moments and the origins of this festival and the story behind it.

The sessions were delivered by Reverend Paula, supported by volunteers from the church and the children returned to school with a far greater understanding of what is the most important festival in the Christian calendar.
