Woodford Halse Triple Champions!

What a fantastic sporting week at NHPS – yesterday we took 41 of our superstar athletes from Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 to the Woodford Halse cross country event. It is important to note that 27 degrees Celsius is definitely not the best cross-country weather! However, despite the challenging conditions, over 500 runners from across the county competed in glorious sunshine.
Every single child who ran showed the effort and attitude that I have been asking for this year, demonstrating strength, resilience and determination to take on the challenging course in grueling conditions. There was a lot of sunscreen, a lot of water, and a lot of ice creams at the end!
Overall the team were magnificent. With individuals coming away with 10 medals, including Y6 boys race winner, Freddie retaining his title from last year and 3 team trophies. It was a special day for our Trust also, as 3 other trophies were won by Bracken Leas & The Radstone, giving us 6 of the 8 on offer – a tribute to the hard work of the staff, and determination of the children to commit to training throughout the year.
A huge team performance, a proud head teacher, and a very happy Trust CEO, Ms Curtis!
