Storytime in Assembly

In our EYFS and KS1 assembly this morning we read a story called ‘Blackout’. The story tells us all about what happened to a family during a power cut and all the things that they could do without electricity.
The children were encouraged to think about alternative ways they can play in the summer holidays; without technology. They suggested board games, books, colouring, treasure hunts and playing outside.
We also revisited how to safely play online, making sure a grown always knows what we are playing and that we never share information about ourselves online.
