Armistice Day
Remembrance Day – Generations Unite
Y6 have had a fantastic, fascinating morning with our guests, learning about the experiences of serving in the forces, looking at memorabilia and hearing some amazing stories. They also got a chance to share some of the beautiful cakes that some of the children made for the event: thank you.
After that, the whole school congregated on the turning circle for a short service of remembrance. They stood beautifully and patiently, observing the two minutes silence impeccably.
Well done to our Year 6 readers who read some poems as part of the service and a big thank you to ex-pupil Adam for playing The Last Post.
Thank you to all of our visitors for a memorable morning.
